Miguel Mata Pereira is a psychologist and an effective member of the Order of Portuguese Psychologists, with specialisation on educational psychology and with advanced specialisation on special educational needs. Miguel holds a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences and Training and has been working in different universities, both as a teacher and researcher, in the field of psychology, communication, language acquisition and development, educational sciences, special educational needs, personal development, and professional training for teachers, psychologists and occupational therapists. Since 2018 he is the director of the Research and Development Centre of Associação QE, an institution for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, based in Sintra, Portugal.
